AATF Convention San Diego 2024

The writing system of French poses challenges due to the nature of its spelling to sound correspondence. Learners of French as a foreign language and heritage learners may have distinct needs in terms of literacy development via formal instruction. Certain tools and strategies may be used in different ways to benefit both learner groups in the French classroom. Examples of such approaches will be discussed.
