Why (and how to) teach Joan of Arc? Also known as the Pucelle, Jeanne d'Arc was an iconic figure, a national symbol, and a real person. In this interactive session, we will address various approaches to teaching Joan of Arc and will share concrete examples (lesson ideas and resources), useful to a wide variety of classes and institutional contexts. Ideas for specific resources will include the trial transcripts, literary texts, film, and works of art.
